She’s back

Thank you to our friends at the RAC for bringing this back again for a quick refurb before going out again on duty. Don’t get worried though, they are not trusting us with the real thing, this is just a full size simulator. OMB fabricated the shell, fitted the inside out with seating, dials etc, painted it and built the trailer. You will see this at the Christmas pageant this year at Bunbury and Perth.

OMB where very happy to be invited to the Equestrian in the Park on the 28th November at Crown Towers grounds. Thank you very much to all who made our stay so comfortable, we had so many people wishing us well and the truck build we took got all the right results with multiple orders given and several more expected to come in after Christmas. TONKA TOYS ARE BACK

There are those who say they build customised utes and then there are those that do, this beast has returned to us to finish off the toolboxes and crane for the lifting of the bike. It as been a good journey watching our client develop this vehicle to what you now see in the picture. We first worked on this vehicle 10 months ago and since then its been all over WA finding no ground that could stop it. The rear seats have been removed to allow for extra water tanks, extra fuel tanks have been fitted along with everything you need to make this vehicle fully self contained for months of solo travelling. The ultimate in off road utility vehicles.

The Engine Room

The place it all begins, the steel shed. The cutting list is presented to the steel shed storeman and he then starts to prepare all steel for the body builder. This is an integral part of the process and must be spot on, problem here and the whole build will be wrong.

Meet Rod

Our man Rod works within the van building area, here you see him fabricating frames for rear doors for dry goods vehicles. Rod as been with us for around two years now and is one of the three Filipinos on visa’s. Rod is an awesome asset to us, always smiling and wanting to go the extra mile to help anybody. Its guys like this that make OMB what they are today, fabricator of choice.

Ear bus artwork

The ear bus is now completed including this great design from the children of Tom Price Primary school. The clinic will me working out of the Pilbara assisting those in the areas that lack medical facilities due to location. This mobile clinic is one of 5 that OMB have built over the last 24 months ranging from this hearing bus clinic to mobile doctors surgeries.
